    The modern history of baseball cards starts after the World War II. As soon as the World War came to an end, the baseball card industry again started its struggle to stand in the market. So some manufacturers of baseball cards came in the market and they started to launch their baseball cards.

    In those producer one and the most significant baseball producer was Bowman from the year of 1948 up to the year of 1952. In the year 1952 another producer named Topps started to produce the cards and in fact Topps started to produce the cards in large sets. The card sets produced by Topps eventually became the most popular card sets due to their scarcity. The collectors of baseball cards search for the Mickey Mantle Card that waued already by the Bowman but still it holds the ultimate position to be owned by someone after the World War II. s the first mantle card produced by Topps.

    Yet it is one of the most famous baseball cards. Although it was not his very first card because the very first card of this kind was iss.The most expensive card which was brought by a private collector was the T206 Honus Wagner card which was sold at the price of $2.35 millions.
