I Have Put In A New Motherboard And Can Not Get The Cd Drive To Open, What Should I Do?

I am trying to get everything hooked up and running but keep running into problems--How can I get the cd drives recognized and everything up and running.

    99% of the time the problem is that you don't have power.  Double check your connectors or try a different connector.  Also, make sure the IDE cable isn't upside down.  The edge of the cable with the stripe should be on the side of the IDE connector nearest your power connection.

    If you still can't get the drive open, push a straightened out paper clip into the small hole near the center of the drive face.  That will manually force it out.

      Well what i always do BASH it, swear at it and kick it, No just joking...

      Try switching off and on
      Make sure you have installed it right
      if all fails take it to PC world and let them deal with it or

        by a new Pc
