Why Can't My Cat Walk On It's Back Legs?
We just got a stray kitten and he now can barely walk on his back paws. And when he does walk he can't walk straight and walks like he may be drunk.

It could well be that he's been kicked or run over and has a broken pelvis. Take him to the vet for an x-ray but be prepared to put him down as the vet may tell you it is going to cost a ton of money to fix his problem. Best of luck.

He could also have an abcess on his spine, a spinal defect or injury, or a nurological problem, only a vet check can tell you for sure.

We just got our indoor cat Luke back after being out in the rain, and 99 degree temps for 2 months. You do need to take the cat to get an x-ray, but most importantly the cat needs IV fluids. Luke couldn't walk when we found him. After much needed fluids he is walking more, but walks like a drunk old man and sways from side to side
