Exuma Cay is a paradise desert island in the Bahamas. The only way to be able to visit it is via an organised power boat trip. There are several trips a day but they are scheduled so that at no point is there more than one boat load of people present.

The trip itself is amazing; with the sea turning amazing shades of blue and green and several small deserted islands that can be admired along the way. There is an island inhabited completely by wild iguanas and this can be visited to feed them grapes on sticks with some tours.

There is a sand bank along the way that you can walk along; a true piece of paradise where you can find conch shells and collect sand dollars. The Exuma Cay is astounding when you reach it. There is Robinson Crusoe style ht where an abundant barbecue and buffet of fish, meat, fruit and salads is prepared. The sands are unspoilt and the sea warm, with only sea and sandbanks to be viewed.

From a platform sharks, stingrays and other tropical fish can be fed. These do not enter the swimming area. You can also walk around the island, through mango groves that are beginning to grow again after hurricane devastation, and walk up the hill to view the other nearby islands that were once conquered by pirates.
