Not producing a well balanced promotional mix which takes into account Company's physical presence (to which ever degree it may apply) may limit the market reach. Inconsistent messages can erode the value of company online service, eventually effecting sales and customer referrals. Offline promotion which supports company online campaign helps to build on the brand by a lifting the brand awareness and helping to develop a level of trust with their customers who will eventually lead to referrals, sales and customer loyalty.

An offline promotion or communication strategy can simply help draw people to company site by showing the way (web address) and creating a preview of what they will find when they get there. Even though a simple web address on a business card seems like a basic attempt to promote the site, it is surprising how many business put email addresses on the business card but fail to list the web address.

The web address and value proposition needs to be in the customers face during the decision making process. When they are ready to start searching information on products and services it could be company web address they see on the back of a taxi cab or on the side of a bus or recall it from a business card that is handed to them by company's employee.

Customers will use search engines to find options if they don't already know of a web addresses to search. So why not make sure company's market is well aware of their web address before they have to resort to search engines, because unless company ranking is high the chances are that customers will actually hit their site is slim. This means company need to utilize their offline communication opportunities.
