Just noticed a jelly like mass on my dogs rump, must hurt because she doesn't want you to touch it. Nose is dry and looks real dry

When you say a 'jelly' like mass, did you mean it is under the skin and 'wobbly' or raised on the skin like a bubble' Assuming it's the latter, this could be like a blister. Sterilise a needle and gently break the surface of the mass. With a piece of gauze, gently apply pressure to release the fluid within.
