Answer Question

You have not mentioned name of the medicine which you are giving to your dog? All medicines used to kill worms in the dogs can kill only adult worms but not their eggs. So, these eggs become adult worms after few days. That is why your dog is not recovering completely. You should follow the instruction of your vet or read the label of the medicine and complete the duration of the treatment.

Are you using meds prescribed by the veterinarian? Different parasites require different treatments. OTC deworming meds aren't effective on many parasites (mainly one and also aren't safe) so if you are using the wrong dewormer then you wouldn't be doing anything about the parasite your pup actually has but maybe preventing the one you are treating for. There is also the cycle of adult and eggs to consider. What type of parasite does your pup have and what are you using? If you haven't seen your vet take a fresh clean stool sample with you and have it diagnosed and they can give you the correct treatment in the correct dosage for your pup and be sure to do the follow up. Hope you get it cleared up soon.
