Charles Darwin contributed in the development of psychology by giving the theory about humans that they are like other animals and the human behavior and thought is a common phenomenon and not being supernatural. He promoted the fact that human beings inherit their mental, physical and behavioral features from their ancestors. He also emphasized on man’s origin and the development of human beings. He also gave many theories about the evolution and origin of different species. His ideas were revolutionary and he wrote three books with descriptions on how the human psychology and mental qualities are based on the evolution. He also supported the controversy that humans were actually the descendants of animals.
