July 20,2009- right now there is the tamagotchi v4.5, the v5 familitchi, and the tamagotchi music star which is v6, those you can still buy on toysrus. There are others exclusively from Japan, like the Tamagotchi Plus Color, the Tama Walkie, and many more. So the answer is no, but in the future they will keep making and making, so yes i guess the v7 it will be made soon.
In TamaTalk, all the tamagotchi fans are trying to convincce Bandai to make the Tamagotchi Plus Color in US version, you can also buy it on ebay or amazon etc, but it will cost you like $70---->, its not that cheap at all. I hope this helped
