    My Father In Law And His New Wife Has Asked Us To Make Our Photos Smaller That I Emailed Over To Them Smaller?

    to make our photos smaller that I emailed over to them smaller? They could only see a small portion of our new grand-daughther. I sent to alot of family and this is the only time someone said this? How do I do this?

    Try uploading the pictures on to either tinypic.com or tinypics.com, i don't remember which one but it makes them smaller.

      I suspect he is saying to make them smaller so that the size of the picture files is more manageable (via email). Although, as you say, if it isn't reducing the size once up on his screen at his end, it could be that too!

      If you are using a program like MS Outlook for your email, this actually has a built in feature that reduces the size of pictures you are emailing on the fly. All you have to do is go into Windows Explorer, select the photos you want to send, right click on them and then "Send to"-"Mail Recipient". As I say, if you are using MS Outlook it automatically prompts you to either reduce the picture sizes or keep them as they are.

      If you are not using MS Outlook, there is picture resizing software that you can download although I haven't had to use any of them before. Another option is to just use online picture resizing which means you wouldn't have to install anything. Having a quick look I found this one here which should do the trick. Have a go if you are keen or let your father in law know about it!
