How Big Is An A3 Piece Of Paper?

A3 paper is an International paper size maintained by the ISO or the International Standards Organization. An A3 paper size measures 11.69 x 16.54 inches or 297 x 420 millimetres. As per the ISO, the range of paper varies from 2A0 (the largest) to A7 (the smallest). The size of the paper decreases as the number increases; every A size is half the size of the previous. For instance, two A4 sheets is as good as an A3 piece and two A5 sheets are equal to an A4 sheet. The most often used paper size; however is the A4 size which measures 210 × 297 mm.

The international standard size for paper, also known as ISO 216 has been adopted by every nation in the world with the exception of the US and Canada. In Colombia, Mexico and the Philippines, despite the ISO standard being adopted officially, the 'letter' format of the US is still in vogue.
