If I Get About Six Angel Fish For My 30 Gallon Tank, What Other Fish Can I Get That Are Compatible? I Have An Algae Eater Right Now And A Small Tiger Barb.

Angel fish are my favorite. Six is a lot for a thirty gal. Tank. They can get as big as the palm of your hand and need a lot of room.The tiger barb is a problem. He likes to nip long fins. I suggest tetras or swordfish.Fish channel.com. Is a great site to tell you about different fish. Good luck with your Angels.

I agree, angels need room... If i remember correctly for my 30 gallon i was recommended 2, 3 at most. They need their space. Also, i know tiger barbs are fairly somewhat aggressive as we were told to keep them with the kind.... They are better with others. Overall, i wouldn't recommend mixing the two.

Thanks wicka - another question; I only have one tiger barb and he is fairly small. If I got four angels, would he still nip at their fins? You would think there is safety in numbers??
