South Park is an animated, comedy television series created in 1997 by Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The show is about four fourth-graders who live in South Park Colorado. The show's episodes are usually parodies of current events. The show is hosted by Comedy Central and since it's airing in August of 1997 has produced 157 episodes spanned over eleven seasons. The show has won numerous awards including the 2005 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program.
The show has also been centred around many controversies for its stance on social/political hot-topics like homosexuality, stem cell research, abortion, child abuse, and religion.
