    The appendix is not an essential organ. It is attached to the large intestine. When it is inflamed or infected it can rupture or perforate. This can be dangerous as it can lead to peritonitis. It can be caused by an infection and is easily removed. Your temperature rides slightly and you have abdominal pain. The doctor carries out a reflex test called mcburney's point to confirm diagnosis.  It can be carried out laparoscopically which only requires a tiny incision, and you could be home next day.

    wOw, where did you get that answer. That in the next day you can go home now after suffering appendicitis. Is it another part of technology?? an innovation..

      The appendix is a closed-ended, narrow tube up to several inches in the length which attaches to the cecum like a worm. See the link below for more information:
