On a landscape design course, you would learn the basics of landscape design, such as colour schemes, form and texture, planting, studying seasonal changes, structural planting and all the other aspects of landscape design. Some courses may also offer the chance for you to work with real clients and design their gardens, which will give you experience and help you gain a good qualification.

There are plenty of courses available. Some may have entry requirements, so you may have to check these beforehand. Try the internet. There is bound to be lots of information about which universities offer landscape design courses. You can find out what is involoved in the course for each year, entry requirements. Some university websites allow you to download their prospectus, so you can see what is on offer. You can also see which types of courses are available, such as long term and short term etc.
