Can A Queen Take A King In A Chess Game?

    The queen can put the king in check, if there are no other moves the king can make or that can protect or eliminate the check of a king, it is referred to as check-mate. This means the game is over since the king is never actually taken it is captured. The capturing of the king is called check, capturing the king permanently is check-mate, end of game.

      Yes it can. A queen can take a king in a chess game. But it is referred to as check mate.
