What Is The Strategy For Solving Equations?9-2m/7=19

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    9 - 2m/7=19

    It is linear equation in m.

    9 - 9 - 2m/7 = 19 - 9 [subtracting 9 on both sides]

    -2m/7 = 10 [9 -9 = 0 and 19 - 9= 10 ]

    7*-2m/7 = 10*7 [multiplying by 7 on both sides]

    -2m = 70 [7/7 = 1 and 10*7 = 70]

    Dividing by -2 on both sides

    -2m/-2 = 70/-2

    m = -35

    So, the required value of m is - 35.
