    Well, the Boston Tea Party was an act of civil disobedience by the colonists. They were disgruntled by the way they were treated by the British in general.  

    The Brits imposed a tax on tea that inflamed the colonists. It was one of a number of factors that fueled the Revolutionary war. It was one of the things that brought the colonists to the final straw with the British rule.
