Answer Question

You should ask your landlord for the new owners name and number so you can find out what they are planning on doing with the house.

A lease is as much for your protection as it is for the owner.  If you have a lease they cannot raise your rent for the duration of the lease.  Usually the lease spells out the terms for any deposit and what you must do to get it back when you move.  A lease often details what your responsibilities are in terms of yard care and general maintenance.  It will give the responsibilities of the owner in terms of what appliances they will have repaired at their expense.
