We heard that we needed to cut each bloom off after it dies to allow new growth....True or false?

You can if you want, but I wait until the seeds appear and store them in the winter in Michigan with the roots and in the spring I plant them with the bulbs an have gotten very small canna plants that will be good bulbs next season
