What Does The Zodiac Mean?

Zodiac comes from a Latin word 'Zodiacus' which means a circle of little animals. In astronomical terms, it is a band of celestial sphere on both sides of the ecliptic. It is divided into 12 parts with each part named after the nearby constellation. The 12 zodiac signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Each of the signs represent a time period. Each of the signs represent a celestial body, such as, Leo represents Sun, Virgo represents Mercury and so on. When a person is born, the constellations influence his or her life.
