My Cat's Back Foot Is Swollen. What Can I Do To Make The Swelling Go Down? My Parents Aren't At Home At The Moment And I Don't Have Money For The Vet. What Should I Do?

My cat had a neck wound and a vet told us how to take care of it but told us to wrap his back feet in socks so he can scratch at the bandage causing further injury, Which we did but he didn't like it and bit on of his hind foots to try to take it off. Now it's swollen and i don't know what to do. My parents are not here at the moment and i don't have the money for a vet. How can i get the swelling down?

The bandages on the cat's legs were probably to tight causing the swelling. Just keep her from scratching and then put the bandages back on when the swelling goes down. Contact you veterinarian to keep him updated. He may give you some free information over the phone. Peace.

Try putting a cold wash cloth on it and call a vet and ask them what you can give him for pain and swelling. Make sure to keep the cat inside until that heals because it can get infected and then it won't heal any sooner best of luck to you
