Is There Any Snake In The Amazon That Has Eaten People?

There is some guy that comes into my wifes work and was talking about a fishing expedition to the Amazon where supposidly a guy from there boat passed out on shore and was eaten by a snake of course he had pictures please help me.I said there has been no documented cases of that little lone pictures that were real.

Yes, these pictures have been circulating for some time. It seems that if you study them closely they don't match up - there are various ways you could fake this.

There is a lot of discussion going on about whether an anaconda, python or boa constrictor can, or ever has, swallowed a human being. The likeliest answer seems to be that they could swallow a small person, but it would take them a VERY long time (not a nice thought) and I could not find a 100% authenticated case. The best article I've found on this subject was at discover magazine.com - very interesting.
