    Cu. It is a stable metal as is. It conducts by a sort of "water brigade" of electrons floating from one CU atom to another.

      There is no formula for copper. Copper is an element (Cu) and as such there is no formula. Formulate are only used for molecular compounds.

      You could add that is has the electron structure of Argon + 4s13d10 shells filled. But formula, correct above, just Cu1, farily stable at RT with low humidity so copper wires are jacketed with plastics, etc..
