Adorning your Christmas tree with a handmade bow is always better. Firstly, make sure that you choose the right color, texture and width of the ribbon to suit your Xmas tree. After you've done that you can measure a few inches from the end of the ribbon to make mark the spot that will later form the tail of the bow. Take some part of the remaining ribbon and make a loop that is about 3 inches, securing it down using your index finger and thumb.

Now make the second loop using the rest of the ribbon. This would mean that you have two loops and two tails ready. You need to now make two more loops the only exception being that they will be 4 inches (take 8 inches of ribbon for each loop). Similarly make bows that are 41/2 inches in length and 5 inches in length. Now take a piece of a floral wire of your choice and place it in between the ribbon loops and your thumb making sure that equal wire is on both sides of the ribbon bundle.

Now bring both the halves of the floral wire behind and intertwine them together. The excess wire can be used to hold the bow to the tree. The last step is to arrange the bow fluffs the way you want your bow to be.
