Can Saltwater Minnows Live In Fresh Water?

      Mine have.. I caught some on Saint Augustine beach and some in Guana river state park in Villano and they are alive in fresh water now. I did make the transition slow though. I did not just dump them in fresh water because they would have just stressed out and died. Instead I slowly remove the salt water and add fresh water then after about three weeks gently removed them from where their tank while I dumped all the water in the tank out and added only fresh water and they where fine when I put them back in. The only thing is that they have been in fresh water for about 6 months and they do not have babies, but when they were in salt water they had lots of them. This also worked for the saltwater mullet that I caught along with the minnow that are living in fresh water now.
