God chose 12 apostles for Jesus, the one betrayed him and had him delivered to death, and ended up hanging himself.....his name was Judas.

Beside the twelve Apostles many mighty men were anointed for the work of the ministry after the ascension of Christ like the Apostle Paul. And even today God is calling and anointing His chosen men to minister in the office of Apostleship.
