How Do You Restore Hardwood Floors?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Hardwood floors are environment friendly and have an aesthetic sense too. In fact, they command a very good investment value. Most hardwood floors never have to be replaced and can add value of thousands of dollars to a home. Hardwood floors usually have a 5-13 mm of hard wood (birch, walnut, oak, etc on a layer of press-board.

The trend is to restore hardwood floors in older homes and to install this kind of flooring in modern homes too. With hardwood flooring, you do not have to worry about allergens like dust, mould and other irritating particles that get trapped in carpeted floors.

You can purchase flooring that has been removed during a changing project. Remodelling contractors sell materials that are removed from the home that they are working on. For them it makes more sense to sell materials rather than pay for their disposal. In this manner, you can have the hard-floors restored, recycled and save money on them too. You can install heating elements under the hardwood floors, especially in areas which face acute cold.
