There is no particular founder for North Carolina. It started off by a settlement of Virginians in the area in 1653. During 1663, eight nobles were ordered by King Charles ii to settle in this area. This created the basic of what is now known as Carolina. In 1729, the crown took over this colony and formed North and South Carolina.
