    Augusta has a wide range of attractions and services. It's moved on a lot from it's days at the centre of the tobacco and fur industry in the eighteenth century. Perfect for the culture vulture in you!

    1 – Fort Discovery

    The Fort Discovery Centre which is based on the Riverwalk has over 280 exhibits to view. It covers a wide range of areas including Robotics, Space and Communications.

    2 – Imperial Theatre

    This old theatre steeped in history hosts a great range of films and performances.

    3 – Augusta Golf and Gardens

    This fine area is next to the Savannah River and covers a few acres of gardens. Fore!

    4 – Phinizy Swamp Nature Park

    There's plenty to see at this Nature Park. You won't want to miss the alligators in their native environment. Other delights you can see is herons, otters, egret and many more water loving birds.

    5 – Saint Paul's Episcopal Church

    At the east end of the Riverwalk you'll find St Paul's. This church has been rebuilt 4 times and looks great.
