My Dog Yelped When She Tried To Get Up Last Night And Then Refused To Move. Any Suggestions On How I Can Alleviate Her Pain Until Tomorrow When We Can See A Vet?

Possible arthritis in dog? How to help with the pain. Please help. My dog yelped when she tried to get up last night and then refused to move. When we tried to rub her left rear hip she cried. Later she came upstairs to be near us (seems to be limping). Today she is listless, doesn't want to get up or eat, is panting. She did go outside (and even chased a cat), but now she doesn't want to move. Any suggestions on how I can alleviate her pain until tomorrow when we can see a vet?

Pain is a subjective experience that varies from probably dog to dog there it is good practice to establish where the pain is and treat the underlying cause accordingly. In my opinion, to treat pain, you will need to take your dog to the veterinarian  who will consider  probably prescribe a course of pain-relieving analgesics including the strongest are sleep-inducing substances such as morphine, codeine, and butorphanol, which activate pain-suppression systems in the central nervous system. Also miner intense pain, milder non-narcotic analgesics such as aspirin and acetaminophen may be prescribed and Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and naproxen can relieve pain by reducing inflammation.
