How Can I Expand My Wi-fi Reception For My Laptop?
My apartment offer free wi-fi. However, I can only connect to internet outside my door, which approx. 10 yards away from my desk. How can I extent my reception of my wireless? I have a Acer Aspire 3690 w/ Atheros AR5005g adapter. Thanks

The best way would be to use a better antenna (if the antenna is not built in). Some adapters allow for using external antennas and some vendors produce antennas with a better reception than the simple forms used within PC adapters.
