    The winners of the Mixed Doubles at the 2006 French open were Katarina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjić. They were pitted against Elena Likhotseva and Daniel Nestor.

    The 2006 French open which is also known as 'The Roland Garros' was held in Paris France. The tournament commenced on the 28th of May 2006 and ended on the 11th of June. The French open is one of the most famous tennis tournaments and it is also one of the four grand slams. The French open was initially started as a national tournament in the year 1891.It is the most famous clay court tennis tournament. The tournament is currently being sponsored by 'BNP Paribas', it is a French Bank.

    In the year 1968 the French Open was the first grand slam Tournament which became 'OPEN', which means that both tennis players at professional and amateur level would be allowed to play.
