Where Is Lee Valley Park?

    Lee Valley Park occupies an area approximately forty two kilometers in length. It is located to the northeast of London extending from the banks of the River Thames all the way to Ware in Hertfordshire. It cuts across the areas of Hoddesdon, Camden, Tottenham, Cheshunt, Hackney, Enfield and Broxbourne in its relentless stretch of green.  

    The Park is renowned for its bird population which includes species as diverse as the Smew, Shoveler, Gadwell, Ghossander and the rare Bittern. There is also an annual fair held in February known as the "Lee Valley Bird watching and Wildlife Fair".

    The park also has several historic buildings and sites that are being preserved for posterity including Britain's largest tidal mill, Waltham Abbey, Rye House, Three Mills, Middlesex Filter Beds etc.

    Besides enjoying the green open spaces by just strolling and filling ones lungs with life, serious sporting buffs can also benefit from the park. There is the Lee Valley Cycle Circuit, Lee Valley Ice Centre, Angling, Swimming etc.
