Does the government and markets sell or give them away for free.

Answer Question

Good and services are distributed on demand and government doesn't sell or give them for free in most of the cases. But in some situations, government gives subsidy to reduce the tariff rate and on a very few cases gives free services and goods to promote a campaign. Like Polo medicines are given free to children to eliminate this fatal disease.

Well some firms in the market give free goods especially when they make abnormal profits. Other firms in the offer free goods with an aim of selling the main product they have at market. For example the sell of tooth paste will be accompanied with a toothbrush for free. Government can also offer free goods on cases like wars, insurgency, whether to sustain people's lives
