What Is A Cache ?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

It's temporary memory used to store data in an easier (quicker) place to get than where it is permanently.  Using a hard drive as an example the cache is electronic vs on the disk itself so it's much faster to access.  Hope this helps.

A cache is also a storage house for food and things up and away from animals that might be attracted to eating this food storage cache. It is still used in some areas of Alaska out in the villages. The main animals that usually go for these are bears and wolves, also other animals that can chew their way in. Hope this helps.
