Don't make it a date with just the two of you. Make it with a group of friends and invite him to come along. Gradually decrease the number of people tagging along until it's just you two. When he starts asking you out more than you ask him, you are officially going out.

Ok i'm 12 and when i ask my boyfriend out that i have now i asked if he likes anyone and he said yeah. But i ain't tellin you so that is a big hint that it is probably you. Then i said well are ya single and he said yes then after that chat with him a while bout anything thats on your mind if he looks interested open up to him a little more. Then say i think i sorta like you or something like if you dont mind me asking what is your phone number or what are you doing this weekend? Then if he gives you his phone number and says i gotta go ask for a hug if he hugs you close to his body with his arms on your lower waist then pull back and say will you be my boyfriend or will you go out with me?

For starters, you can start off with a simple conversation such as...Hey, what's up? How is your day going so far...What you got planned for the weekend....And then once you broke the ice with him you can say....If you don't mind me asking, are you single or are you seeing anyone...?  Just that simple.
