It is said to be one of the most popular hard back books of the time and even today, a tremendous amount of copies are sold every year.  The protagonist is a young, rebellious lass; Scarlett O'Hara who is residing in Georgia. It speaks of her ties with her friends, and her family and the relationships she share with her various love interests and Rhett Butler in particular.
