Ulcers don't normally cause constant pain. Some are aggravated by eating or drinking while others are soothed by these actions. Duodenal and peptic but I can never remember which is which. If the pain feels like a hard knot at the top of your stomach it could be due to stress (which may well have caused the ulcer in the first place !) but I should see your doctor to be sure.
