In Bullfighting I Thought That It Just Included Men Waving Red Flags Around Teasing The Bulls. However, I've Now Heard That The Bulls Are Killed At The End. Is This True?

Answer Question

Yes it is true that the bulls are killed at the end of a bullfight. Many people do not know this and sadly there are a lot of spectators who enjoy watching bullfighting.

Generally, bullfighting is performed by professional performers who perform various different moves very close to the bulls. After the crowd have witnessed a spectacular show, the bull is then killed by a sword thrust which is perfectly timed and executed.

The sport has been banned in many countries as they consider it to be cruelty to the bulls, and quite rightly so! The sport is mainly popular in Spain where 'classic' bullfighting was created. There are over 400 different arenas which host the sport there, and millions of people flock there each year just to see it.

Overall bullfighting is a cruel sport which unfortunately probably will not be banned altogether. As long as people want to watch it, the slaughter of bulls will continue. The best thing you can do is to simply not watch it.
