The Oxford English Dictionary defines a warehouse as

    - a building in which, especially, retail goods are stored, or

    - a wholesale or large retail store.

It defines a store (in the sense of a building) as

-a place where articles for use are kept

-(especially in North America) any retail outlet or shop

-(esp. in Britain) a shop selling basic necessities, eg village store or stores

-(esp.Brit) a warehouse for temporary keeping of furniture etc.

Basically, I think to a North American, a store is nearly always a shop, whereas to a Brit, it is usually a place where you keep things. A warehouse in both"languages" has a narrower meaning; you either keep things there before you sell them, or you can sell things directly from the warehouse (often at lower prices than you would sell them at a high street outlet.)
