How Do I Erase Past History On AOL?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The AOL internet browser is very similar to the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser (this is not surprising considering that the former was based on the latter). First you will need to select the 'settings' tab from all the tabs at the top of your AOL window. Next, select 'preferences'. After that, click on 'toolbar and sounds'. Now click on 'clear history trail now'.

Also, another important tip will be to first remove all search bars that many sites come with- like the Google search bar for instance. These bars maintain their own history which will not be erased when you clear your personal AOL history.

Always keep in mind that before you completely erase your previously visited websites history- you should first make a note of all the important website addresses you may need in the future.
