I do not think it is weird by any means. That is a good way to meet really nice girls, and even not so nice girls, my point being that if you go up and talk to them you have a better chance of finding out if you would like to get to know them better or not... Go for it its natural and inliteing, stay safe and have fun!

Well its not weird but depends up on the way you take it and the person you talk, takes it....... Also it depends up on what you talk about to the girls, are they feeling offended by that , or are they liking it and all, talking to different people is never weird.....
