A Veterniary Surgeon is a surgeon for Animals and just like a normal surgeon, he has to complete a specific degree. You need to complete your GCSE with Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Then you take admission in a Veterinary School. The choice of a good Veterinary school depends on the grades you get so the try for the best grades. It takes 5 years to complete the degree. Then you have to specialize in animal surgery to become a Veterinary Surgeon.

I have just become a registered veteinary sergon (2009), and from what i have done, you will need to get GCSE grades C and above in english, maths but for biology, chemistry and physics, you will need to get grade B or above. Also, in collage you need to get to a veteinary collage, then specifie the sergon bit
    best of luck
