Who Was Fred West?

Frederick Walter Stephen West was born on the 29th of September in the year 1941 at Much Marcle, Herefordshire in England. He was a famous British Serial killer. He along with his wife Rosemary West murdered at least 12 young women and many out of them at their own home at Gloucester, England. Fred was basically born in a poor family of farmers and at the age of fifteen he started work as a casual laborer as he had left school. He started petty thefts at that age and stole things like watches and labor tools.

In December of the year 1972 they raped and killed their first victim in their house, Caroline Owens who was the nanny of their children. So they started a pattern and young girls who would come to their home for logging or to care for their children were abused and then murdered. The bodies were dismembered and disposed off under the floor of their cellar. In May of the year 1992 West raped his 13 year old daughter and filmed it and then raped her 2 times more. She told her brothers who told some friends at school and thus the police got a word and investigated and Fred was arrested. When police got a search warrant and dug up his garden floor they found human bones and he and his wife were charged with murders and confessed. On the 1st of January, 1994 Fred hanged himself in his cell.

West was born in 1941 to poor farm workers living in Herefordshire.  He left school at 15 and had a large number of menial jobs, as well as many convictions for theft.

Most of West's victims were women he sexually assaulted, although he also murdered at least 2 children and his own daughter (at age 16).  His crimes were only discovered after a tip off from one of his offspring to the police, about his missing daughter.

West's killings started in 1967.  He killed his then heavily pregnant 18-year old girlfriend, Anna McFall, burying her body in a field.  Another of his victims, years later, would also be heavily pregnant with his own child.  In 1967 he returned to living with his wife.  He later killed his first wife (Rena) and her daughter by another relationship.  He later developed a sexually abusive relationship with his own eldest daughter.

In the meantime Fred West formed a relationship with Rosemary Letts, whom he later married and had 4 children with.  Their relationship was very depraved.  They enjoyed  violent pornography, he enjoyed her prostituting herself, they jointly committed sexual abuse and murder on their own daughters, female lodgers and people they invited in or abducted.

Some victims were buried in fields, most were dismembered and buried in the cellar or under the patio.

They filmed some of their violent assaults; their children endured a brutal and sadistic childhood.  Rosemary West had four children by her clients (not Fred's), who became part of the family sadism.  

More could be said, but it's too sick; these people were beyond sick.

Fred West confessed and committed suicide soon after his crimes were discovered.  Rosemary is still protesting her innocence.
