What I know is that CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) were adding into he problem. The harmful chemicals were being released into the air from spray cans and such (on some spray cans you can see a label on the back that says "NO CFCs"). This was causing the problem with the Ozone layer. It (the Ozone) was being broken apart by CFCs and some other chemicals going into the air. The ozone protects us from ultra-violet rays that can give of skin cancer and other types of diseases. You may have heard that icebergs in the arctic areas are melting away and many baby animals are losing lives because of it. In Al Gore's presentation, "An Inconvenient Truth", he talks about how possibly certain areas could be flooded if Global Warming continues. The ice will eventually melt over time, causing the sea level to rise.....which will obviously create the flood. That's all I really remember about it. Hopefully I helped out a bit.
