According to the available information from authentic sources, there have been around 39 funded projects on behalf of the IDA. On a whole, these projects have a financial outlay of Rs.39.46 billion. However while there has been constant insistence from foreigners to supervise and fund these projects along with providing their own technology for these projects, the local authorities clearly demur with them. As they are thoroughly convinced that neither of these projects require any sort of monetary or technological assistance. Overall the areas that these foreign funded projects are launched in include the sectors of primary education, the dimension of agricultural research along with the areas of flood drainage, ground water, Karachi water supply and also farm water management. The Asian Development bank has also given its contribution in projects that have a financial outlay of Rs.25.62 billion. Other projects include six US AID funded projects, two IFAD funded projects and some other projects funded by a number of foreign countries' grants and other donor agents.
