What Was The Scene Of The National Assembly In Pakistan In The Aftermath Of The Karachi Killings?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It was the state of apoplectic and venomous chaos characterizing the National Assembly, which was a reaction solely attributing to the recent and one of the most destructive riots that the city of Karachi ever beheld. According to government notion, a debate was to take place about the law and order situation in Karachi but amid the mayhem of protests, it was not possible.  The members of the opposition party clearly held the government and its partner-in-crime MQM responsible for the misfortune that took place resulting in cutting the National Assembly session short for the day.  Nevertheless it was just not the opposition party members who voiced out their passionate objections against the government and more specifically the President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf.  Even journalists walked out of the press galleries in ardent protest of the media freedom violation that was defined by the latest attacks launched on the offices of Aaj TV, which is a private television channel, for airing the incidents of violence in Karachi.
