    Can A New Owner Of Rented Apartment Serve Eviction Notice Without Notifying Tenant Of A Rent Increase?

    Daughter came back after week vacation. Her building was sold to new owner. New owner left form in door to fill out and submit rent for the month of October. Rent was sent in timely with form. New owner wanted to know why tenant paid so little of rent. Tenant was cut a deal by old owner. Subsequently several days later (today) received 3-day eviction notice. ???? Key West, Florida

    This "deal" that she had, was it in writing and signed by previous owner? If not, the eviction is legal providing new owner has signed lease representing an increase in rent due. Good luck.
