Yes, there is a miniature railway in Ruislip Lido. It is a 12" (305-mm) measured railway with diesel and steam locomotives.

The HM Rail Inspectorate had lately quoted this railway as, "probably the bets run, well maintained narrow gauge railway in Britain, with an extremely smooth ride".
The railway has 6 locomotives which include 1 steam and 5 diesels: The Robert, The Lady of the Lakes, The Graham Alexander, The Bayhurst and The John Rennie and The Mad Bess.

The Robert was built in by Severn Lamb Ltd, in the year 1973. It is the oldest locomotive with a 4-4w diesel-hydraulic. Due to its tattered wheels, the 'Robert' now stands steady in the sheds.

The Lady of the Lakes was built by Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway in 1986. This locomtive is in use till date, inspite of the fact, that it has used the same engine over 40 years.

The Graham Alexander is a fresh engine built in 1990 by Severn Lamb Ltd.

The Bayhurst and The John Rennie were built in 2003 and 2004. The internal and external look is almost the same except for the difference in the colors.

The Mad Bess was built in 1998, by Lido.
